What is this app about?


It helps modern farmers to keep track of their daily agricultural incomes and expenses. It's a farm record keeping app that helps a farmer generate text and visual reports that give insightful information to the farmer such as trends in incomes and expenses over a desired time period.



What is a farm item?


This represents any item, animal, equipment, machinery etc that brings income to a farmer. It can be as simple as an animal eg. a goat, chicken, cattle, etc. or pasture and feeds. A farmer needs to add all farm items and the products for every farm item in order to collect specific and meaningful data.



How do I add a farm item?


  1. From the Home screen
  2. Click on the Farm Setup button.
  3. Click on the Farm Items button
  4. The app will take you to the Farm Items List.
  5. Click on the plus icon ( ) to add a new item.
  6. Provide the necessary information about the farm item.
  7. Click on the tick icon ( ) to save the record.


What is an expense?


Anything you spend money on during your farming activities. This doesn't include your personal expenses. Only expenses related to your farming activities should be recorded in the app for better and meaningful data.



How do I add an expense?


  1. From the Home screen of the app;
  2. Click on the New Expense button.
  3. Provide details about the expense.
  4. Click on the Tick () on the upper right hand corner of your screen to Save.



What is an income?


Any money that is generated from your farming activities is an income. This should not include money received from non farming activities. This money can be from selling farm items, a product or any other that is specifically generated from your farming activities.



How do I add an income?


  1. From the Home screen;
  2. Click on the New Income button.
  3. Provide details about the income.
  4. Click on the Tick () on the upper right hand corner of your screen to Save.



What is a farm product?


This is anything that you can sell/get from a farm item. Eg, eggs is a farm product from chicken, milk is a farm product from cattle, etc.



What is an expense category?


This represents a general/typical category of a farm expense, examples include Fertilizers, Labor, Feeds, etc.



What is an expense category item?


Represents a sub category of an expense category. Example, urea, basel are category items of expense category Fertilizers.



How do I enable passcode?


From the Home screen of the app , take the following steps ;

  1. Click on the menu Icon from top left hand side of the app.
  2. A drawer menu will pop up from the left side of the app.
  3. Click on Settings under Preferences section.
  4. Click on General to take you to the General Preferences screen.
  5. Click on Enable passcode to set a pass code for your app.



NOTE

Here you can change your passcode by taking th following steps;

  1. Take a reference of the first four steps in the Enable passcode section (1-4).
  2. Click on Change passcode and here you will change your passcode.


How do I change currency?


From the Home screen of the app, take the following steps ;

  1. Click on the menu Icon from top left hand side of the app.
  2. A drawer menu will pop up from the left side of the app.
  3. Click on Settings under Preferences section.
  4. Click on General to take you to the General Preferences screen.
  5. Click on Default Currency to change the currency.



When should I get the Starter package?


You should get the Starter package if you want to do the following;

  1. To view restricted reports for i.e Detailed report, Export To Excel e.t.c.
  2. To backup/restore your data to your Google Drive account.
  3. To remove adverts.

NOTE

You can only Restore data from the Email you backed data to.



When should I get the Farm Account package?


One should get this package when he or she wants;

  1. To share data / information between different users on the farm account.
  2. Get access to a web version for central management.
  3. Add multiple farm user accounts for record keeping.
  4. Access to web reports.
  5. To view restricted reports i.e fDetailed report, Export To Excel e.t.c
  6. Export data to excel, csv pdf, etc
  7. Advert-free experience.


How do I filter reports?


From the home screen of Farmer's Wallet , take the following steps;

  1. Click on the Analytics icon .
  2. Click on () icon on the right hand side of your screen to filter by the desired period.



How do I set a reminder?


From the home screen of the app, take the following steps ;

  1. Click on the menu Icon from top left hand side of the app.
  2. A drawer menu will pop up from the left side of the app.
  3. Click on the Reminders menu option.
  4. Click on (notification) icon on the bottom right hand side of your screen.
  5. Enter all the necessary information about the reminder.
  6. Click on the on the right hand side of your screen to save the reminder.
